Exploring career opportunities in retail

Dr Maria Theodosopoulou, our Careers Support Officer, has been out and about, exploring options for our students in the dynamic retail sector, by attending an event organised by West London Retail Skills Hub.
This launch event was held to celebrate a new venture launched by Westfield and other partners, Westfield London is home to more than 350 shops, boutiques, restaurants, cafes, entertainment venues and things to do. Part of the Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield group, there are 38 Westfield shopping centres across the world.
West London Retail Skills Hub has been established to help the development of retail professionals across the region. Located in Westfield London, next to John Lewis & Partners, the Hub provides world-class training – including employment support, business solutions and specialist retail programmes – to the community.
Dr Maria Theodosopoulou said, “Whether you’re drawn to sales and marketing, merchandising and design, or the strategic challenges of operations and management, there’s a huge diversity of roles in retail and not just on a part-time basis, retail is also a great industry sector for an exciting career.”
