How to Accept your Offer of Admission

Once a student has been admitted to Richmond, they must confirm their place by submitting the applicable Offer Acceptance Form by the following priority deadlines*:

  • May 1 for Fall & Summer entry terms
  • December 1 for Spring entry term

*Late deposits will be accepted on a space available basis.
*Please note that deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable

New students are encouraged to live in University Accommodation for their first year and should submit the Housing Application Form and Housing Deposit. The Housing Deposit will be held on account for the duration of the students’ housing lease as a security deposit.

ID Photo
Richmond University requires a passport style photo of all new students in order to process their ID cards. Your photos must show a close-up of your full head and shoulders. It must be only of you with no other objects or people, facing forward and looking straight at the camera. The photo must meet our standards or your photo will be rejected and you will be required to resubmit a new image.

Once your photos are ready, please save them as a JPG file with your full name and send them to admissions@richmond.ac.uk


Applying for a UK Tier 4 Student Visa (for non-EU/UK citizens)

Richmond will provide a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) letter when:

  1. You have met all the conditions of your offer in full; and
  2. You have submitted the Offer Acceptance Form; and
  3. You have paid 50% of the first years tuition fees; and
  4. You have provided us with evidence that you have the necessary finances in place to support your Tier 4 application; and
  5. You have provided a valid Tuberculosis Test Certificate if you are resident in a country where this is a requirement.

To request a CAS please complete the CAS Request Form.

The Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies letter is just one of the documents that is required by The Home Office in order to submit an application for a Tier 4 (General) Student Visa. The Home Office will not accept visa applications without this.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Students that require a visa to study and live in the UK should not attempt to apply for their student visa until they have obtained the CAS letter from Richmond.
