‘Diversity in Industry’ Careers Talk with the companies behind Star Wars and Marvel̵…

Author: Richmond American University London

This is your opportunity to learn all about how the film industry is now embracing diversity as well as the best way to build up a career in digital visual effects from experts at ILM (Industrial Light and Magic)!

Richmond, The American International University in London, is hosting an event with the Star Wars production team Lucasfilm and ILM on Thursday 11 March at 4.30pm (UK time).

Lucasfilm and ILM are among the world’s leading entertainment service companies, pioneers in visual effects and sound across multiple mediums, and home to the legendary Star Wars and Indian Jones franchises.

This event has been organised by Dr Caleb Turner, Assistant Professor of Film Studies at Richmond.

Dr Turner said, “I’m really thrilled that we’ve been able to organise this event with Lucasfilm and ILM.  It will not only be highly relevant for our film-related BA and MA programmes, but goes across the liberal arts courses at Richmond, including those which involve animation and graphic design, as well as fashion, visual culture, business and marketing.”

This event is part of Richmond’s mission to promote diversity and inclusion in the creative industries and is also sponsored by the IVAC Research Centre.

We hope you can join us on Thursday 11 March at 4.30pm (UK time).

There’s no need to register, click here to join the event on the day.
