The Cyril Taylor Bursaries Scholarship were designed to support students financially, believing that financial hardship should not be a barrier to a student’s journey at university. These scholarships assist UK and US students demonstrating financial need in their application.
There is up to £4,000 cash awarded per degree over the duration of your study (£1,000 awarded per academic year, with a maximum of £500 per Fall and Spring semesters each). There are up to 15 undergraduate awards available for UK students, and up to 12 for US students.
Eligible UK undergraduate students benefit from cash payments per year they are enrolled as a student in good standing at Richmond.
First-time enrolled students:
Your fee status determines whether you pay home or international tuition fees. You must meet certain requirements to be eligible for home fee status. If you don’t meet the home fee status criteria, you’ll have to pay international fees.

New students are assessed and selected for this scholarship based on needs (contextual admissions) once you have received an offer to study on one the University’s degree programmes.
Once you have applied to a programme at the University using Direct, UCAS or CommonApp, please also complete an application form to apply for the scholarship.

What are the Terms and Conditions of receiving the Cyril Taylor Bursaries Scholarship?
All scholarships at Richmond American University London are awarded with terms and conditions for receiving a scholarship or award. When you accept your scholarship offer, you agree to these terms and conditions as well as your student contract – all are sent to you at the time of your offer of a place on one of our degree programmes.
To be eligible to receive this scholarship:
Notifications of Bursary awards are sent from the Richmond Finance team, and awarded students will sign a Bursary acceptance form once fully enrolled.
Currently the English Language Academic Excellence Award is based upon current fees. The university also reserves the right to adjust the value, volume and criteria of its scholarships should fees change.
The University will still endeavour to provide scholarships that provide students value for money and help students reduce student fee debt.
You may be eligible to receive this award along with loans from Student Finance England (SFE) or other personal funding options. The final calculation excludes SFE interest and is based on 48 months & 36 months comparison, it is acknowledged that universities will vary with start and completion times.
UK students can take out a Tuition Fee Loan to cover the full cost of tuition fees. You repay this loan once you have left university and are earning over £25,000 per year. The loan is paid directly to the University by the Government. Apply for Student Finance.
