How to connect to eduroam

Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, international wireless service available to all staff, faculty and students at Richmond University.

Students logging to eduroam:

Choose the eduroam network on your mobile device.

When prompted for a username and password, enter the following information:

  • Username: your Richmond network login which is your ID number followed by @richmond.ac.uk, eg, 00001111@richmond.ac.uk
  • Password: your University network password

Staff and faculty logging in to eduroam:

Choose the eduroam network on your mobile device.

When prompted for a username and password, enter the following information:

  • Username: your Richmond network login followed by @richmond.ac.uk, eg, smithj@richmond.ac.uk
  • Password: your University network password

Benefits:

Eduroam is a service recognised across the globe and you as a member of Richmond University can enjoy free Wi-Fi wherever the eduroam wireless network is available.

Eduroam is particularly convenient for smart phones and tablets as you will only have to register your credentials once and whenever the eduroam network is in reach, your device will automatically sign to it.

If you are visiting Richmond University and your home institution provides eduroam services then you will be able to continue using those at the Richmond University Campuses. If you are having difficulty connecting to the eduroam service, please contact your home institution IT Service Desk. If they can confirm that their eduroam profile is working correctly but you still are unable to connect, please contact our IT Help Desk.
