Sports on Campus
The University’s recreational court located in the front of the Richmond campus, plays host to various intramural activities such as football (soccer) games and basketball competitions. Football (soccer) and dodgeball matches are held regularly. Teams may be formed in advance or you can simply show up and enjoy the fun!
The University also hires out local gymnasiums throughout Richmond where volleyball and football (soccer) matches are held. It is free of charge to University students. These activities usually occur during the weekend.
Old Deer Park in Richmond also hosts a variety of football (soccer) matches throughout the term. A tournament between a staff and faculty team versus a team of students is conducted in Old Deer Park each semester. It is always good fun and a great opportunity to teach your professors a thing or two about sports!
The University will also occasionally compete against other universities in the area. Intramural teams and games are regularly organized through ResLife and Studetn Activities office. If you have an idea or would like to organize a team, contact your RA or the Activities Office.
*A calendar of sporting events for the semseter can be found on the Student Activities page on the portal.

This gym has areas to suit all needs, including a power plate for core stability, a squash court for members, a range of cardiovascular and resistance equipment and over 25 classes per week, including Zumba, Yoga and Pilates. The squash court however, does require a small fee for playing with non-members.
Also, the variety of equipment does mean that although some equipment is top of the range, others are quite dated.
