Freshman Semester in London

Freshman students will study at our Chiswick Park campus, west London, close to a number of transport links via bus, tube and train.

Everything about this state of the art campus building in a beautiful parkland location has been designed with students in mind. It is set in a vibrant community offering a gym, cafes, bars and restaurants, with easy access to everything the world’s number one student city can offer – learning and employment opportunities, shops, museums, attractions and sporting and cultural events.

We are offering a range of options for managed student accommodation, with varying price, size, location and facilities.

Richmond American University London, established in 1972, is a private non-profit, American liberal arts and business studies university located in South West, London.

As a major political, financial and cultural center London is one of the globe’s most exciting and cosmopolitan cities and is repeatedly awarded the best student city in the world.

About the program

Students who are on waitlists for spring admission may wish instead to undertake a freshman study abroad option rather than defer the start of their university acceptance at home. London is a safe and dynamic option for such students and Richmond American University London, being a US university, is a great place to do this.

The university has some 1200 students, representing over 100 nationalities, with an average student-to-faculty ratio of sixteen to one. 30% of its students come from the US, 30% from the UK and the rest from across the world. The university’s degrees are accredited in the United States by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and are validated in the UK by the Open University Validation Services (OUVS). It was the first university in the UK to be doubly validated in this way. Classes run on the American semester system (September to December and January to April).

Richmond’s three academic schools offer a variety of programs in the American Liberal Arts tradition – over 500 classes a year.
