The pandemic has left us all with the dilemma of whether we should make a move for quality education or just give up on our passion, hasn’t it? But, is that really a thing to think about? Ask yourself. Can you give up on your dream, lock it up in a cupboard and tag it as chimaera?
Well, I know one thing for sure, I can’t.
Hello there! My name is Khushi Khan, and I am a full-time post-grad student at Richmond University, pursuing an M.A in Advertising and Public Relations. I am a fresher, and like any other international student, I was very anxious about so many things and a hell of a lot of questions were bumping inside my head. Though my head was a terrible mess, I was crystal clear about one thing – that giving up is not a solution. Therefore, instead of sitting back, I took a step forth and reached out to the university for guidance and got rid of all my doubts.
Right from my first email till today, the Richmond University staff consistently helps me out in everything. I was so comforted after the conversations as I got to know what I actually had to do next, and I no longer had to waste my entire year. Richmond American University London provides a dual degree, and the PRCA membership works as a cherry on the cake for me.
Currently, I am attending online lectures, and I am a bit sad about it since I am missing on a lot of things like the university experience, real-life interactions, events, and so on. In any case, the academic staff is trying at their best level to make sure that I feel the connectivity and are making every move to ensure that the classes are even more engaging and enjoyable. Their efforts made me realize that my decision to not give up was correct. Despite online lectures, the faculty provide the same level of study as offline classes. The students receive a quality education regardless of what the circumstances are, with no delay. The blend of practical projects and live lectures are quite enthralling.
I met students from different countries virtually, and they are super-cool. I am so excited, I want to meet all my fellow students and professors in real, join my university physically and engage in all the events and tasks asap. I am sure; I will soon experience one-on-one communication, our lives will get back to normal, and we all will be able to admire the beauty of the world again.
So, this was my real-life story and how I saved my passion from becoming the will-o’-the-wisp. What about you?
