Dr Yanbin Lu

Associate Professor of Academic Literacies

About

Dr Yanbin Lu is an Associate Professor of Academic Literacies in the School of Liberal Arts at RAUL, teaching Research and Writing courses in the Academic Literacies Programme. She has over thirty years of language teaching experience in universities in China, the USA and the UK.

Prior to joining RAUL in 2019, Yanbin has taught pre-sessional EAP courses in the University of Bath and the University of Nottingham, and before relocating to the UK, she had worked at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA, USA, where she obtained her PhD in Applied Linguistics, and Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, where she obtained her MA.

In addition to her academic role, Yanbin also works as a Collaborative Provision Support Officer in the Quality Assurance team of the University, providing language and administrative support to partnership and validation projects.
