Richmond Shortlisted for the West London Business Awards 2026
Author: Richmond American University London
For the 13th consecutive year, the West London Business Awards brought together the finest minds in business leadership, innovation, community support, and education and training across west London. Held on 27th February at the Aviva Stadium in Twickenham, the evening was a celebration of everything that makes west London such a dynamic and forward-thinking place to work, study, and grow.
Richmond American University London was proud to attend as a finalist for Education & Training Provider of the Year — a recognition that reflects the dedication of our staff, students, and wider community to delivering an exceptional academic experience.
The Awards welcomed over 500 guests including business owners large and small, managers, start-ups, apprentices, and a inspiring cohort of kid-trepreneurs and teen-trepreneurs. The evening was hosted with warmth and wit by celebrity comedian and west London local Shappi Khorsandi.
Richmond was selected as a finalist alongside JGA Group, Log-in Training, MAMA Youth Project, and Youth Careers Collective — a strong shortlist representing the breadth of outstanding education and training provision across the region. The award was ultimately presented to MAMA Youth Project, a BAFTA-winning charity that provides free training and opportunities in the creative industries for young people across the capital. Their community-driven work is truly inspiring, and it was a privilege to be recognised alongside them.
The evening also shone a light on the Ealing Soup Kitchen, the event’s chosen charity partner. Supporting homeless and vulnerable people in and around Ealing since 1973, their work is a vital reminder of the community spirit that runs through west London.
Beyond the awards themselves, the night was a fantastic opportunity to connect, share ideas, and learn about the creative and innovative work happening right on our doorstep in Chiswick. As Andrew Dakers, Chief Executive of West London Business, put it: “West London is one of the best connected places in the world for business, media, innovation and more.” We couldn’t agree more — and we’re proud to be part of it.
