Richmond lecturer launches report on terrorism in New York

Dr Will Allchorn, who teaches on security and terrorism at the University, has taken part recently in a Global Internet Forum for Counter-Terrorism (GIFCT) side event in New York to coincide with the United Nations General Assembly.
At the event, Dr Allchorn launched a report he has authored about terrorist and extremist exploitation of short-based video platforms on social media channels such as TikTok and Facebook.
Dr Allchorn was joined by one of our MA alumni, Jon Deedman, who was part of a working group calling for more meaningful transparency into how social media channels report content moderation and account takedowns.
