Podcast Workshops with BBC Audio Journalist Audrey Tinline
Author: Richmond American University London
Richmond’s Department of Communications and Arts have organised two workshops for those looking to launch their own podcasts or learn more about podcasting.
Session One will be run by BBC and Financial Times audio journalist Audrey Tinline on Wednesday 20th November, 12:30-2pm in Classroom One on campus. This session is about knowing the market and developing your idea, covering key topics such as:
- What are examples of different genres?
- An overview of the podcast market with examples of top performing podcasts
- How do you structure your podcast? – a toolkit for producing and recording your own podcast
Audrey has prolific experience in podcasting; she produced the Financial Times’ Political Fix podcast and hosts BBC international news bulletins broadcast on NPR in the USA. She has also launched award-winning radioshows and podcasts on the BBC world service and has worked as a radio and TV journalist in outlets in Singapore and Hong Kong.
You can also join the meeting online on Microsoft Teams:

Session Two, run by Richmond faculty Russell Duke, will cover editing your podcast and production tips. This session will run on Wednesday 4th December, 1-2pm, in our Mac Lab.
Both events are open to the public and all are welcome – if you would like to attend, please contact:

If there is great demand, priority will be given to Richmond students.
