New year, new home for Richmond

Author: Richmond American University London

Happy new year to all of our students, staff and faculty! It’s going to be an action-packed year with the University’s move to Chiswick Park taking place in July as well as 2022 marking the 50th year since the University was founded. Watch this space for more information on our 50th celebrations.

Following the approval of planning permission by the London Borough of Hounslow for the University to move to a new state of the art campus at Chiswick Park, it’s been all systems go for the project team managing the campus move. It’s involved much liaison with Enjoy-Work, the property management company at Chiswick Park, which offers a range of services, facilities and entertainment for its guests on the Park.

The new location will provide students with potential internship and employment opportunities amongst 72 companies currently based at Chiswick Park including Danone, Discovery, Starbucks and IMG.

Matt Coulson, CEO Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work said: “We are looking forward to welcoming the first University to Chiswick Park. This is a great fit for our campus as we will directly connect students and businesses.”

Over the coming months, students, staff and faculty will be involved with the design and fit-out plans for the new campus location. The fit-out will be managed by Ambit, part of the Workplace Futures Group, which specialises in the refurbishment and furnishing of commercial premises for a wide range of clients.

Martin Evans, Managing Director of Ambit, said, “We are so excited to be partnering with Richmond, The American International University in London, for the design and delivery of their campus facility on Chiswick Park, it’s great to be working with such a collaborative team with a common objective, made even more special with this being the University’s 50th year, we can’t wait to see the doors open to students in the summer!”

The University, working with the Council, has ensured that it is taking the steps necessary to improve its environmental impact in line with local and London-wide initiatives.
