New careers learning platform launched for students

The Careers & Internship team at Richmond American University London is delighted to announce a new strategic partnership with an experiential learning platform which will enhance students’ employability.
Forage is an online resource which offers virtual workplace experiences designed by leading companies. Students can develop their skills and gain a real understanding of different roles and sectors by working through these self-paced modules.
Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, lululemon and Pepsico are just some of the world’s leading employers who have created the virtual experiences with hundreds of companies participating in the initiative.
Dr Allison Cole-Stutz, Vice President for Student Affairs, commented, “Forage offers students the opportunity to develop professional skills and gain a better understanding of the industry in which they wish to pursue a career. Alongside the many outlets for career development offered at Richmond including voluntary service, work experience, student leadership, networking with alumni/industry experts and internships, Forage is a great platform to support and enhance student employability. It helps break down barriers for students trying to get their foot in the door in organisations and enables them to explore different career pathways.“
Alia Alhirsi, Education Partnerships Manager at Forage said, “We at Forage know that navigating the recruitment process can be overwhelming. Our aim is to provide you with the guidance and resources you need to make your job search easier and more transparent. Forage offers advice about when to apply for internships, how to create an outstanding resume, insights into the interview process, and much more. Students are 2x more likely to be advanced to interview stage and 4x more likely to be hired when completing Forage programmes because these companies are looking for motivated talent who have taken the time to find out more.
“In 2023, upon completion of a Forage programme, we saw that 78 per cent of students felt confident about the type of work they would be doing and also felt that they had a clear understanding of what different employers do and who they are. This continues to climb year upon year and we’re so excited to see Richmond American University London’s students start to benefit from this!”
If any current students are interested in taking part, all they need to do is select their experience and create an account, as the virtual workplace experiences are free and accessible to all students at Richmond American University London.
