New appointment for Head of Richmond Business School

Professor Sabine Spangenberg, Head of Richmond Business School, has been appointed to the SBS Advisory Group for Economics for the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), an independent charity working to benefit students and higher education, and one of the world’s experts in quality assurance.
The QAA is trusted by higher education providers and regulatory bodies to maintain and enhance quality and standards. The organisation works with governments, agencies and institutions globally to benefit UK higher education and its international reputation.
As part of the QAA’s Quality Code, there will be 13 Subject Benchmark Statement Reviews in 2022 and a panel of leading academics will be involved in the reviews, drawn from QAA Member institutions across the UK.
Professor Spangenberg will be part of the Advisory Group for Economics for the Subject Benchmark Statements.
Subject Benchmark Statements describe the nature of study and the academic standards expected of graduates in specific subject areas. They show what graduates might reasonably be expected to know, do and understand at the end of their studies.
