Lunch & Learn: Biodiversity and Business at Chiswick Business Park
Author: Richmond American University London
On March 27, Chiswick Business Park welcomed staff, students, and sustainability professionals for a thought-provoking Lunch and Learn session focused on biodiversity and business. Hosted by Enjoy and Work, the session featured Inma Ramos, director of the Institute for Corporate Sustainability at Richmond American University London.
Inma led an insightful discussion on the critical intersection between corporate strategy and environmental stewardship. She introduced participants to key global frameworks shaping corporate biodiversity efforts—namely, the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and Science Based Targets for Nature (SBTN). These initiatives are helping companies embed biodiversity into their risk management and decision-making processes, driving a shift toward more sustainable and nature-positive business models.
The session emphasized the growing responsibility of businesses to not only minimize their environmental impact but also play an active role in restoring and protecting biodiversity. It was a valuable opportunity for attendees to reflect on the evolving expectations of corporate sustainability in the face of nature-related challenges.
