Two of our students, Christian and Patricia, on the MA Luxury Brand Management programme have had a unique educational experience in the south of France.
Managed by EDHEC Business School, ‘The Business of Luxury’ programme is a two-week initiative where students can experience the marketing of luxury retail, yachting, fragrances, ‘ultra hospitality’, private jets and events in the perfect location: Nice, France.
Luxury management came alive for the students through business visits to venues such as Lancôme’s Domaine de la Rose, a fragrance house, and a 4-hectare site with organically farmed fields in Grasse; luxury retail stores in Cannes, Château de Crémat, a vineyard in Nice and guest lectures from GlobeAir, a private jet charter, a yacht broker, Hotel Hermitage and Comte de Monte Carlo in Monaco.
Christian said, “Thank you to Camille Brewster at Richmond American University London for coordinating and nominating me to attend The Business of Luxury Programme in the South of France. I am excited about this rare opportunity to expand my knowledge of luxury, the different luxury sectors, and the French art de vivre. I couldn’t have asked for a better parting gift.”
