Leta Gallo is one of our BA Film & Photography students who will be celebrating on Graduation Day. Leta is co-founder of
‘À mon côté’, a media-film and visual production company which aims to narrate aesthetic stories to inspire people to be more.
Leta says about his experience of studying at Richmond American University London,
“I particularly enjoyed how the University provides you with all you need for your personal and student life, but in particular how the teaching method is student-tutor centred, with a lot of feedback that makes you understand that we are in a marathon and not in a sprint. For example, having Chino as my tutor was extremely useful to analyse my work with a more critical eye; she was very supportive but critical at the same time, and this makes you grow a lot. I also had professors who challenged me and pushed me to achieve new goals, so I was able to discover my own talents also outside the classroom.
In addition, I think it is so great to have the possibility to combine different subjects from your degree field. For example, apart from choosing a minor, if you are attending a creative BA you can always add something more scientific. For me, creative business writing and graphic design combined with studio photography and screenwriting were a perfect match to understand what I really want to do after graduation, making me understand what kind of contribution and positive change I wanted to make within the media industry.”
