This is the third blog in a three part series. Read part one here, and part two here.
With the chaotic energy of production day behind us, post-production became the space where everything came together. This phase felt like sculpting—refining the raw footage into a polished piece that captured the essence of the Samsung ad collaboration with Vogue and GQ Taiwan. Once again, the resources and support at Richmond American University in London proved invaluable in this critical stage.
One of the biggest advantages was access to the university’s color-calibrated monitors. These monitors allowed me to closely review the colorist’s work and ensure the visuals met the highest standards. Every hue, shadow, and highlight had to convey the sleek, modern aesthetic that Samsung embodies. Seeing the footage come alive with vibrant colors and perfect contrast was deeply satisfying and gave me the confidence that we were on the right track.

The editing process was equally demanding and rewarding. Working with the editor required constant communication to ensure the pacing, transitions, and overall flow aligned with the creative vision. I found myself stationed at the university for countless hours, reviewing drafts and finetuning every detail. Richmond’s facilities made this intensive work much easier, offering a professional environment where I could focus entirely on the task at hand.
What stood out most during post-production was how collaborative the process became. Even though the production team had disbanded after the shoot, their contributions were present in every frame. The creative energy from production day informed every decision, from the music selection to the final cut. It was a reminder that filmmaking is never a solo endeavor; it’s a collective effort that continues long after the cameras stop rolling.

Post-production wasn’t just about tying up loose ends; it was about elevating the project to a level that exceeded expectations. It taught me the value of patience and attention to detail—skills I’ll carry into every future project. Thanks to the tools and resources at Richmond, I was able to oversee this crucial phase with clarity and confidence, ensuring the final ad was as impactful as we had envisioned.
