Over the summer, Krishika, a BSc Data and Business Analytics completed a remote non-credit internship through Virtual Internships with BK International Education Consultancy (USA) as a Data Analyst. This opportunity allowed her to explore potential career paths related to her studies and how it helped her gain further experience within her field of study.
Today, she’s sharing her journey with you and how doing an internship be it For-credit or Non-Credit helped her expand and explore her knowledge.
““Hi, I’m Krishika Jain, currently a third-year student at Richmond, studying BSc Data and Business Analysis. I recently completed a Virtual Internship with BK Education Consultancy as a Data Analyst Intern, I gained meaningful hands-on experience that helped me grow both technically and professionally. My experience working with both qualitative and quantitative data helped me to better understand how various data types can be used to support actual business decisions. One of my primary responsibilities was to clean and organize website data, which at first appeared to be a minor task, but I later realized how important clean data is for everything that follows from analysis to strategy. I also assisted the team in managing the CRM system and configuring the backend for meetings and webinars.
What I really enjoyed was getting involved in other areas besides data. I updated and managed the company’s Wix website, created presentations, and assisted with business process automation. Building AI assistants for basic business tasks was one of the most exciting things I tried, which I hadn’t expected to do but thoroughly enjoyed learning. Through this internship, I gained practical skills and a deeper insight into the role of data in real-world business operations. It felt like my first real step into the practical world, where I could apply what I had learned in class to real-world projects and challenges. A special thank you to Richmond American University for providing this opportunity and supporting my journey.”
