Laura Elizabeth Shea has a chapter entitled ‘Deep South: Intersections of race, gender and travel in Sally Mann’s landscape photographs’ in the edited volume ‘Encountering Difference: New Perspectives on Gender, Travel and Genre’, edited by Gigi Adair and Lenka Filipova. The book is published by Vernon Press this Summer, 2019.
Laura Elizabeth Shea graduated form the MA in Art History in 2011. She is currently a PhD candidate in Art History at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
