About

Dr Ian Taylor returned to working at Richmond in 2023, and currently teaches in the School of Liberal Arts. He had previously taught at Loughborough University, where he gained his PhD, and the University of Leicester, where he did his Masters degree. His has taught across a wide range of subdivisions within the field of media and communications. His main research interests are in news, journalism, current affairs media, and political communications. More specifically, his research revolves around the intersections between media, protest, and social movements. He has published widely in both scholarly and journalistic publications. He has also peer reviewed papers for a range of scholarly journals.
