Richmond American University London is pleased to announce the official launch of an exciting new study abroad programme in partnership with Liberty University.
The London Experience programme offers Liberty MFA students the chance to spend a transformative year at Richmond, engaging with the city’s world-renowned museums, galleries, and creative industries. Participants undertake one year of study at Liberty’s campus in the United States before embarking on a year at Richmond in London, which includes an internship placement. They then return to Liberty for a final semester to complete their MFA programme.
Through this collaboration, students have the opportunity to earn either an MFA in Graphic Design or an MFA in Studio Art from Liberty University alongside an MA. Students will take classes from our Art History and Visual Culture programme at Richmond, accredited in both the UK and US.
Sarah Hedrick, a painter and the first participant in the pilot study of The London Experience, began her studies at Richmond in September 2024. She shares her experience on the programme in a blog article here.
Dom Alessio, Professor of International History and Vice President International at Richmond American University London, commented, “The last few years we have done some really fun work with Liberty, including numerous guest lectures, both online and in person, and in a number of different classes. The MA is the next step in this exciting development, one that keeps open the long tradition of a special UK-US relationship.”
We are proud to work with Liberty University to offer this exceptional study abroad opportunity, helping their students develop a truly global artistic perspective.
