Honours Night 2025 celebrates student achievement
Author: Richmond American University London
Now in our 33rd year, our Honours Night recognising student achievements, both academic and community-based, never gets old!
Held at the Clayton Hotel in Chiswick, we spend the evening celebrating students who contributed to our vibrant, engaging and diverse academic community. We were thrilled to recognise so many talented student leaders this year.

One of the highlights of Honours Night was presenting awards for community leadership and recognition of service to the campus community:
Audra Longley Award: Named after Richmond’s first Dean of Students, Audra Longley, this award was presented to Demetria Delp who has been an active Richmond community member in her first year at University, supporting the development of a new club, the Gender and Sexualities Alliance
Deans Award: Upasana Bhatt is a student digital ambassador, a Student Hub Assistant and is actively involved in a number of other activities related to student life at Richmond. She has also excelled academically while contributing positively to her community.
ACS Leadership Award: Dominika Rekawek is a student ambassador, club leader, peer tutor and active student recruiter with Richmond’s marketing and recruitment team and a soon-to-be honours graduate with a BA in Psychology. She has dedicated her years at Richmond to creating a positive, fulfilling and inclusive community.
Residence Life Member of the Year: A 2nd-time award winner, Gwen Patterson has been recognised again this year as Residence Life Member of the Year. Gwen is a dedicated Resident Director as well as the chair of 2 student organisations.
Campus Hero: Jayden Cates is the SGA’s Campus Hero award winner this year. She was recognised for spreading joy and bringing people together. Jayden will graduate this May with a BA in Communications.
Club of the Year: And, for the 2nd year running, the Bharat Society has won the coveted ‘Club of the Year’ award for their diversity of events and activities related to cultural celebrations. Their chair, Jay Patel accepted the award for the organisation.
As Dr Allison Cole-Stutz, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students, shared on the night: “These students represent the very best of Richmond – their passion, resilience and commitment to community are what make our university truly unique.”
We are hugely proud of our students’ achievements and wish all our award recipients very warm congratulations once again.
