Welcome to Richmond American University London – Orientation Week Spring 2025! 

Here's the ultimate guide to make the most of your Orientation week at Richmond.

Welcome to Richmond, your new home for an exciting semester ahead! Whether you’re arriving from near or far, we’re thrilled to have you join our vibrant and diverse community in the heart of one of the world’s most iconic cities. Orientation Week is your gateway to settling in, making new friends, and discovering the unique opportunities that await you here in London. 

Orientation Week kicks off on Monday, 13th January 2025, and we’ve curated a fantastic schedule of activities to help you explore the city, connect with your peers, and create unforgettable memories.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:

Monday, 13th January – Speedmating 

Time: 6:00 PM 

Location: Pub near Tower Hill accommodation (exact location TBD) 

Start your semester with some good vibes at Speedmating, a fun “speed dating” inspired event designed for making friends. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a traditional English pub, mingle with your fellow students, and share your first laughs over a complimentary drink and snacks. Don’t forget to bring your ID if you’re 18+ and planning to have an alcoholic beverage!

Tuesday, 14th January – Wicked Theatre Show 

Time: 7:30 PM 

Location: Apollo Victoria Theatre 

Dive into the magic of London’s world-famous West End with a performance of Wicked. This spellbinding show is a must-see and the perfect introduction to the city’s vibrant theatre scene. Secure your spot early—this one’s bound to be popular!

Wednesday, 15th January – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Tour 

Time: 3:00 PM 

Location: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 

Calling all football fans! Take a behind-the-scenes tour of one of the UK’s most modern football stadiums. From the players’ tunnel to the pitch, you’ll experience the beautiful game like never before.

Thursday, 16th January – Greenwich Boat Tour 

Time: 3:00 PM 

Location: Westminster Pier 

Hop aboard for a relaxing boat tour along the Thames, taking in iconic sights from Westminster to Greenwich and back. It’s the perfect way to admire London’s historic riverside landmarks.

Friday, 17th January – London Eye Experience 

Time: 12:45 PM 

Location: London Eye 

Experience London from a new perspective as you ascend the famous London Eye. Gaze out over the city’s breathtaking skyline and capture those postcard-worthy photos.

Saturday, 18th January – Double Decker Bus Tour 

Time: 11:00 AM 

Location: Details to be shared closer to the event 

Hop on a classic double-decker bus for a guided tour of London’s top landmarks. It’s an excellent way to see the sights, from Big Ben to Buckingham Palace, and learn about the city’s rich history.

Sunday, 19th January – Tower of London Tour 

Time: 11:00 AM 

Location: Tower Hill Tube Stop 

End the week with a visit to the iconic Tower of London. Discover its fascinating history and see the world-famous Crown Jewels up close.

Orientation Week is all about connection, exploration, and fun. Don’t hesitate to join as many activities as you can—you never know where you might make a lifelong friend or discover a new passion.
