Led by Richmond Business School, The Institute for Corporate Sustainability (ICS) has been launched to foster and share knowledge on sustainability throughout the University and in the wider community and to contribute to the liberal arts approach of the University as a whole.

Biodiversity Talk presented by Nelson Milburn, the Guest Landscaping Manager of Chiswick Park and Steven Packman, Nurture Landscaping Innovation Manager.
Nelson and Steven will guide us through the incredible biodiversity of our park and the broader London area. They will share insights on key initiatives aimed at preserving our environment and provide practical knowledge on how we can all contribute to protecting our planet’s rich biodiversity.
Corporate Biodiversity Reporting and Strategy session led by Richmond’s Inma Ramos, the Director of the Institute for Corporate Sustainability.
Inma will discuss the relationship between business operations and the environment, as well as provide insights into frameworks like the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and Science Based Targets for Nature (SBTN). These frameworks are driving the transformation of modern businesses and encouraging the adoption of corporate strategies that prioritise environmental considerations.

Carbon Literacy Training (Half-Day 1)

The Institute for Corporate Sustainability (ICS) is pleased to invite faculty and staff to attend Carbon Literacy training.
If you’re wondering what Carbon Literacy Training entails, here’s the definition provided by The Carbon Literacy Project:
“An awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions on an individual, community and organisational basis”.
Upon completion and submission of a brief assessment, successful participants will receive accreditation as Carbon Literate from The Carbon Literacy Project and you will be able to train others on Carbon Literacy (potentially embedding it into your courses if suitable or training other members of your team). This model is based on peer-to-peer teaching.
ICS will cover the cost of obtaining the certification for you.
Please register for the course by Friday, March 28th. Places are limited and will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.

In her role, she is responsible for planning new menu items, drives strategy for new restaurant openings, and works internationally to grow awareness and fandom for Chipotle.
