Visit to Blue Raincoat Music

Students from the Art, Design and Media degree programme at Richmond University visited Blue Raincoat Music at Westbourne Studios in Notting Hill and met with CEO Jeremy Lascelles. A wide-ranging discussion ensued including the common connection between artists working in different fields (visual arts, music, film), the way in which the digital revolution has transformed both the making and dissemination of art, and the importance of understanding financial realities.

The students were then given a tour of the Blue Raincoat offices and were delighted to meet Robin Millar CBE, the world renowned Producer. Shadi Eshragi, one of the students, commented,” We were so lucky to meet with Jeremy and benefit from all his experience as an industry veteran; we really gained insight into the music and creative industries. Westbourne Studios was an amazingly creative space to visit: full of all kinds of design companies.”
