The meeting will generate discussion on women’s engagement in politics and economy before and after 24 February 2022 in Ukraine.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022 has dramatically changed the political and economic landscape as well as posed numerous challenges for the most vulnerable groups of Ukrainian society, such as women. There is a high risk of rollback of the achievements in the field of gender equality gained before 24 February last year.
As a refugee researcher, Darina will share insights from the interviews with the women politicians and entrepreneurs which she conducted before and after 24 February 2022.The meeting will provide a clear picture of the challenges women face in pre-war and post-invasion Ukraine and initiate the discussion on steps Ukraine has to take to integrate internally displaced women and external Ukrainian refugees in politics and economy.
It will be a fantastic opportunity to meet her and learn about her inspiring work and achievements in an informal atmosphere.
