The Taylor Global Leadership Programme (TGLP) is an opportunity for high academic achievers to develop their leadership skills in a global context. Students in the programme are expected to maintain a high standard of academic excellence, while actively participating in additional TGLP activities including the Richmond Leadership Academy, bi-annual citizenship workshops, as well as study abroad and internship opportunities. This carefully curated program is an integrated approach which aims to produce very high quality, well rounded, international leaders and thinkers.
Criteria for application:
Minimum 3.6 GPA or equivalent (High School, A-Level, IB or if transfer student/current student* see below)
Available to 20 Richmond University students per academic year
Fees & Funding:
The Taylor Global Leadership Programme scholarship can be in addition to other Richmond University Scholarship awards. Successful applicants to the TGLP will automatically receive the following tuition scholarship:
US applicants : $1,000.00 tuition fee reduction per academic year
UK/EU applicants: £500.00 tuition fee reduction per academic year
*Transfer and Current students:
Transfer students (TR) are defined as those with transfer credit from another university/HEI i.e. not High School, A Level, IB. Successful TR applicants will be required to demonstrate the following: Minimum 3.4 GPA + equivalent to those activities which have been missed (See TGLP yearly chart below). The application form for TR students has been adapted to include equivalence statements with evidence.
Current Richmond Degree students who join the programme are subject to the same terms as TR students.

* Citizenship Workshops: Typically one per semester throughout the 4 years. Covers a variety of topics related to leadership and citizenship from a global perspective.
**Richmond Leadership Academy: Targets 4 areas: Service Learning, Student Leadership within the University, Work Experience which includes Internship, Research with Faculty member. Related to Employability plan and Employability & Leadership Award.
**** International Field Research: New course starting in 2018/2019.
