EU Referendum – Message from the President

The UK voted to leave the European Union this morning with a very narrow majority. Following the outcome of the EU referendum, Richmond, The American University in London’s primary concern is to continue welcoming students from all over the world and provide support for the successful completion of their studies.

The UK’s exit from the EU will be a gradual process within which each treaty and agreement will be reviewed. The impact of the EU Referendum will emerge over the coming weeks, months and years. If it is your intention to join us at Richmond in 2016, whatever country you are from, we will welcome you. Our 2016/17 fees will not change and there will be no immediate impact on the immigration or funding status of current EU students.   We are aware that news of the referendum may cause anxiety for many people considering or currently studying and working at Richmond.  Please be assured that we are doing our best to understand the issues and reduce the impact where possible.

President (Vice Chancellor)
