Main BuildingMain Building

Richmond’s Main Building is situated in a quiet residential area and accommodations here are predominantly for first and second year students. Main housing offers 192 beds in 151 rooms: 123 singles, 30 doubles and 3 triples. Rooms vary in size and shape. Many rooms offer sink facilities. All toilets and showers are shared, rooms are cleaned upon request and linen is provided. Each room contains personal safes. Laundry services are free. Dormitory corridors are equipped with shared telephones. Facilities include 24 hour Security/Reception, Dining Room, Computer Labs, a Coffee shop, Fitness Centre, and Common Room with cable TV and DVD and Video players. The Common Room also has a pool table and table tennis (all free of charge). It also contains the vending machine suite for midnight munchies. Along with the computer labs in the main building, the entire campus is covered by a wireless network for suitable equipped laptop computers. Seven Resident Assistants and Directors reside in the Main Building.

Red HouseRed House

This three story building features 11 beds in 7 rooms, and is located on the grounds of the Main Campus at Richmond Hill. There are 3 double rooms and 5 singles. One Resident Director resides in Red House, and security patrols and CCTV cameras ensure this residence is secured safely. All toilets and showers are shared, rooms are cleaned upon request and linen is provided. Each room is covered by the wireless network and contains personal safes.

Lower CottageLower Cottage

Lower Cottage is one of our smaller satellite buildings. This cosy residence hall houses three double rooms and a single room. Toilets and showers are shared amongst all residents. Lower Cottage is assigned one Resident Director, this student staff member resides in Red House but visits regularly. Residents have access to University WiFi and are catered for by the University Dining Room. Security patrols and CCTV cameras ensure this residence is secured safely.

Montford HouseMontford House

Within a two minute walk from Main Campus, Montford House offers 40 beds in 23 rooms, clustered into flats. There are 6 single rooms and 17 doubles. Facilities include shared bathrooms, kitchens and telephones. Rooms are cleaned upon request and linen is provided. The building is also covered by the wireless network via a line-of-site link. Security patrols and CCTV cameras ensure this residence is secured safely. The Fire Alarm system is linked to the Main Building. One Resident Director and the Residence Life Coordinator reside at Montford House.

ParkviewParkview

Richmond Hill’s newest student housing is at Parkview, a two minute walk from the Main Campus and next door to Montford House. Parkview holds 30 beds in 18 rooms. There are 12 doubles, 5 singles and Resident Director accomodation. Facilities include shared bathrooms, a common room with partial kitchen, and telephones. Rooms are cleaned on request and linen is provided. Other facilities include laundry, wireless internet, garden access and an intercom admittance system for increased security. Security patrols and CCTV are also in use at this property.

Residencies in Kensington

Atlantic HouseAtlantic House

Atlantic House is the main residence in Kensington and provides accommodation for 115 students in 17 single rooms and 49 double rooms. Single rooms are commonly allocated to Resident Assistants and graduating seniors.

The facilities in Atlantic House include 24-hour Security/Reception, Kensington Campus Library, Computer Lab with 51 computers, Dining Hall, Mailroom, and Common Room with cable TV and multi-regional DVD player. As with the Richmond Campus DVDs and videos are available free of charge from the library or Student Affairs Office. The Common Room also has a free pool table. The building is covered by the wireless internet link. There are laundrette facilities in the basement.

Ambassador HouseAmbassador House

Ambassador House is a five-minute walk from Atlantic House across Gloucester Road. The house provides accommodation for 61 students in 16 singles, 9 doubles, and 9 triples.

Ambassador is full of character, all the rooms are of different shapes and sizes. Single rooms are generally allocated to Resident Assistants and graduating seniors. Some rooms have ensuite facilities.

Ambassador House also has its own common room, with a TV and multi-regional DVD player. There are laundrette facilities in the basement.

Collingham GardensCollingham Gardens

Collingham gardens is a beautiful building located just a 15 minute walk from Atlantic House, Asa Briggs and Young Street. It offers upper division students independence and the chance to live in one of the most wealthy areas of London. Collingham Gardens is situated very close to Earl’s Court tube station and the amenities of Earl’s Court Road. The building itself is comprised of 4 floors of ‘flats’; students on each floor share a bathroom and a kitchen. Students are housed in spacious double rooms.

There is also a large common space in the basement with a television, multi-regional DVD player and sofas, for socializing and relaxing. Collingham’s residents can cook for themselves in the shared kitchens, or choose to be on the meal plan on a pay-as-you-go type of scheme, or a combination of both. Wireless internet is available to all residents of Collingham Gardens.

Courtfield GardensCourtfield Gardens

Upper-division students are offered an excellent option with our other satellite building called Courtfield Gardens! Just around the corner from Collingham Gardens, this building is also located 5 minutes walk away from Earl’s Court tube station and Earl’s Court Road ammenities. This building can house around 73 students in a variety of sized rooms, including doubles and singles. Each room is en-suite with a kitchen.

Residents are also able to cook for themselves or still eat at Atlantic House cafeteria using the pay-as-you-go catering scheme. There is a common area on the ground floor equipped with a television, and token operated laundry system on site.
