Starring role for Richmond students in new marketing initiative for the University

Attending a film shoot at a top London agency is all in a day’s work for a number of Richmond students, who will be playing a key role in a series of new short films which will help promote the University to potential students and their families.

A total of 17 films have been made in all, featuring both Richmond undergraduates and postgraduates talking about their background and journey to Richmond, what motivated them to study their programme and their experience of studying at Richmond and living in London, one of the most vibrant cities in the world.  They will be promoted during the course of 2019 on the website, through email marketing campaigns and on social media.

The filming took place towards the end of last year at a London Bridge based organisation called Eg+, a global marketing and production company which is part of Omnicom. Two of the films are on the website already, featuring Katherine  Ginley, who is studying at Richmond through the Trojan Transfer Programme and Dena Levenson, visiting Richmond from the University of Southern California.

Joining them over the next few months will be BA students in American Studies, Art History & Visual Culture, Finance & Investment, International Business, International Relations, Political Science and MA students in Advertising & PR, Art History & Visual Culture, Luxury Brand Management and an MBA alumni.

Angie Milan, Director of Marketing and External Engagement at Richmond said, “We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the students who took part in the filming; they were all brilliant at performing in front of a camera and we’re very much looking forward to sharing their films during the course of this year.  We’d also like to particularly thank one of our Trustees, David Gallagher, President, Growth and Development, International at Omnicom, for having kindly introduced us to EG+ who have been fantastic throughout the production process.”
