Richmond student nominated for student highflyers’ industry award
Edward Le Boyer, who recently graduated with a BA in Finance and Investment from Richmond, has won an award as part of the Trepp Future Commercial Real Estate Leaders Awards programme. Trepp is a leading provider of data, insights, and technology solutions to finance, commercial real estate, and banking markets. Edward, who is now working as an analyst in New York for Estreich & Co, was one of the winners in the Undergraduate Leaders academy in the Awards, which aimed to recognise the efforts of undergraduate students in the sector.
Trepp’s programme—Education Segment—was designed to recognise stand-out undergraduates looking to make an impact in the commercial real estate industry.
Associate Professor in Finance and Economics at Richmond Business School, Ivan Cohen, who nominated Edward, commented, “I am absolutely delighted that Edward has been selected as one of the winners of this Award, it’s very highly deserved. Throughout his undergraduate career Edward always showed a very keen interest in Commercial Real Estate, especially the US markets. In all of my Finance courses he was always looking to see the connection with what we were studying and commercial real estate. His Senior Project investigated the impact of the tapering of expansionary monetary policy on the US banks’ view of investment in mortgage-backed securities, which has since proven to be prescient.”
