Professor George Zhang delivers a keynote speech
Richmond professor George Zhang gave a keynote speech titled Chinese Language Learning and Teaching in Europe and International Collaboration in Chinese Language Teaching at the recent Ninth International Conference of Asia-Pacific Consortium on Teaching Chinese as an International Language, held on 21 and 22 October in Yonsei University, Seoul. South Korea. Professor Zhang attended the conference as a representative of the European Association of Chinese Teaching (EACT), of which he is a vice president. The conference was attended by over 150 participants from many countries in Asia, and the USA and UK. Professor Zhang also signed a strategic alliance agreement on behalf of the EACT with Asia-Pacific Consortium (founded in 2009), and the American Chinese Language Teachers Association (CLTA, founded in 1962).
