Latest version of Blackboard gaining momentum

,

The upgraded Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which was introduced in September at Richmond has been proving a hit, with different pilot digital learning projects now underway across the University.

The latest version of Blackboard – Bb Learn Ultra Base Navigation – changes the Blackboard portal (without changing the courses that Faculty, staff and students are familiar with) and provides quick access to the most critical information from across all university courses.   This new portal navigation has a sleek, modern look and feel and will save students time with simpler workflows and easier access to important information.

From video conferencing to flipped class room approach, mobile technology to podcasting, staff, faculty and students are collaborating on a number of exciting digital learning projects.

Dr Katya Toneva, Digital Learning Officer at Richmond, commented, “It’s been really encouraging to see great enthusiasm from so many people at the University to explore everything that Bb Learn can offer.  We have had some engaging discussion forums and partnerships among students and faculty as they have worked collaboratively and the feedback so far has been very positive.”

If you haven’t had chance so far to view the new Bb Learn resource, please check it out on the University intranet, “My Richmond” on the Digital Learning button at the top, between “Library” and “Student Life”.
