The research centre for International Visual Arts and Cultures and the Art Exhibition Society collaborated on a ‘Working in the Art World’ exchange on 18 April, Asa Briggs Hall, Kensington Campus.
The event brought together alumni from the MA in Art History and Visual Culture, and MA in Visual Arts Management and Curating, to share their experiences with students, faculty and special guests, of establishing a career in London’s creative industries.
The panel comprised: Margaree Cotten (Artist and Client Registrar, Gagosian Gallery), Kate Scott (Marketing and Research Manager, Tanya Baxter Gallery), Yoanna Ivanova (Gallery Operations Officer, Ben Uri Gallery), and Dr. Arlene Leis (Independent Scholar).
The discussants were IVAC Visiting Professor, Dr. Anne Massey and Aislinn White, Assistant Professor at Richmond.
Following the discussion there was an opportunity for networking during a wine reception.
