It’s been a while!

Hi everyone!

It’s been a while since my last post, which means I have a lot to update on! I’m still selling a lot of old things on Depop and I’ve also moved onto using Ebay too. I’ve been reading as well, so much so that I ended up crying to ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ as this was the only book I had left. I’ve just started ‘Becoming’ by Michelle Obama, which is really enlightening so far. Meeting family and friends has been fun as we’ve made the most out of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, and I was very happy to have had my first Nando’s since March. My cousin created an outdoor cinema in his garden with a firepit, lights and a projector for Netflix which has been lovely for Summer evenings. During one of our movie nights, we were talking about plans for after my internship and my cousin offered me a position working for his digital agency starting Monday. He manages the social media accounts for companies such as the Hilton hotels, and uses the same Buffer software that I was trained on during my internship. This will be a great way to gain more experience in the marketing industry.

My friend and his family spend their summers in Turkey, so for the last two weeks I joined them for a holiday in Izmir. I was apprehensive about getting on a plane but my dad (who just came back from Paris and Italy) said that distancing is really strict when going abroad. He was right, and I had no trouble going there or back. The weather was lovely while I was there, but it definitely required an ice cream every day! We did fun things such as riding jet skis and relaxing at their private beach, rather than busy tourist attractions. One night we went for a swim in the pool just at the right time and saw an amazing sunset over the mountains. Safe to say I’m feeling pretty relaxed after all those days tanning on the beach and ready for classes to start in September. I did only have one more term left at Richmond, but I had to switch some classes around so now I will be graduating in May.

Sadly, I didn’t take many photos in Turkey, so here’s a photo from a year ago today. It was taken during my first photography class at study abroad.

I hope you’re all staying safe and looking forward to the new term!

Until next time,
