Getting there with my assignments!
Hi everyone!
I hope you’re all settling into classes; we probably all have some deadlines over the next few weeks as we get closer to midterms. I have a photography assignment due next week and as it has snowed a lot recently, I made snow (and the bad English weather) my overall theme.
Richmond gave us access to Photoshop which has been great for editing as our photos needed to be monochrome. Last week I shared my screen to show the class my portfolio but forgot to turn off my mic after I finished. A lot was happening in my house at the time, so I have no idea exactly what my class heard but it was embarrassing all the same…
My classes are going well, I’ve finished at least one assignment for each so far which is keeping me on track with due dates. I like my Luxury Brand Management class the most and for our first essay we chose a brand and explained how it was impacted by coronavirus. I chose Tiffany’s and it’s been interesting to learn about how even premium brands struggled during the pandemic.
I’m currently reading ‘The Ride of a Lifetime’ by Bob Iger (the CEO of Disney) which is really insightful. While we have all this extra time at home it can be productive to clear out old things; we cleared our spare room which had loads of old toys and donated them to schools and orphanages abroad. It’s a great way to help others during this time!
It seems like it won’t be too much longer until things are more normal again, I hope you’re coping well and staying safe until then.
Until next time,
