Forbes magazine shows how Richmond entrepreneur is thriving during turbulent times

A Richmond student has just been featured in America’s highly influential Forbes magazine, capturing how her brand is taking the international luxury accessories market by storm.

Melissa Souza-Lima, a BA Communications: Media Studies student at Richmond, created the luxury brand Susurro with her sister Margaret in London.  Having been inspired by the beauty of nature to create stylish, chic accessories which are handcrafted in New York, the duo have gone on to launch private showrooms in London and New York.

The Forbes article outlines how the Susurro team have been quick to strengthen their online brand presence during the COVID-19 pandemic. Susurro is currently enhancing features on their site to include digital stylists, 3D models and highly personalised services.

Susurro accessories are stocked worldwide and have captured the attention of Teresa May, the former British Prime Minister who described a previous collection as, “beautiful”. Susurro is also featured on America’s number one fashion app, Covet.
