Join Nick on Friday 18 November, 2.00pm, for an online lecture which will provide a fascinating insight into how companies can increase their productive output, as he comments:
“The world of work has never been more challenging nor more interesting. The post-pandemic landscape is challenging organisational leaders to rethink their approaches to managing and leading people and enterprises. The financial crash before the pandemic had appeared had already locked in a slow growth equilibrium. So how to increase productive output remains a fundamental challenge to all enterprises.
Good Work as an idea starts with the premise that work is a fully human activity and should be bounded by enlightenment and democratic principles of fairness, procedural justice and voice. This means so called ‘soft’ or intangible factors of productivity are vitally important to achieving more meaningful work that leads to more productive outcomes for workplaces. For too long the low skills equilibrium has been as much about blinkered management and leadership as it has been about too low levels of skills and capital investment.
Perhaps the move to hybrid workplaces might just be the key to unlocking the Good Work paradox?”
