Explore Populism and Neoliberalism in the light of COVID-19 with article published by Dr Rafal Soborski

Dr Rafal Soborski, Professor of International Politics at Richmond, has just had his article “Biopolitics in the Time of Pandemic: Populism and Neoliberalism in the Light of COVID-19” published in Perspectives on Global Development and Technology (https://brill.com/view/journals/pgdt/20/1-2/article-p137_10.xml).

Rafal’s article challenges the prevailing tendency to place populism at the centre of the debate about socio-political aspects of COVID-19 and proposes shifting the focus of attention towards neoliberalism as a key factor shaping individual countries’ responses to the pandemic.
