Exciting internship opportunity for student at the heart of US Congress
Richmond student, Aleksander Czarski, currently studying BA in International Relations, is doing an internship this summer in Washington, DC with Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, a candidate for the President of the United States who also serves as a Major in the Army National Guard.
Aleksander said about his internship role:
“One of the long-term tasks assigned to me is to come up with any project proposal over the summer and turn it into a policy. At the end of my internship, I will have the opportunity to present this policy to Tulsi Gabbard who, if she likes it, will submit it to the House floor for a vote. This means that the project that I worked on in Research Methods and Practices, “Increasing food sovereignty of Native Hawaiians”, has the potential to become a reality. This is a great opportunity for me and the experience is truly impactful.”
