Robert Shearman, Who wrote the “Dalek” episode of Dr. Who and remained a contributor, friend and mentor of numerous dr who producers, directors, writers and actors, came to give a talk to Richmond’s British fantasy class last night. Students were informed about the writing and commissioning process, the history of dr who, how the production process works and got the inside take on many of the show’s famous actors. Dom Alessio, professor of history and moderator of the discussion, stated that Rob’s talk emphasised the transgressive nature of the genre and was a reason why the British fantasy class was created in the first place.
