Congratulations to all the Honours Night award winners!
It was celebrations all round at Richmond American University London’s Honours Night, which took place for the first time since the University’s relocation to Chiswick Park. The event, which was held at the Clayton Hotel in Chiswick, highlights outstanding student achievements both in the classroom and through contributions to the Richmond community. Over 40 different categories of awards were presented, including all the academic award winners.
Dr Allison Cole-Stutz, Vice President for Student Affairs, said, “The students we are recognising have not only excelled academically but have also played a huge role in helping create a positive environment, particularly during the move to our new campus in Chiswick and have shown responsibility, leadership and plenty of determination.”
One of the evening’s highlights was the presentation of awards given to students in recognition of service to the University community:
- The Audra Longley Award
-
- This award was given to Arianna Zampognaro in recognition of her academic success and positive contributions to the Richmond community, having served as a Student Ambassador, Peer Mentor, Resident Advisor and on the SGA Executive Board.
- The Dean of Students Award
- Jessie Garcia won this award in recognition of her contribution to the University at large and Dr Cole-Stutz said of Jessie, “Whether she is promoting SGA events and activities or speaking to students about their ideas of community at Chiswick, her efforts reflect students’ feedback and have often been my litmus test of how the Richmond community is feeling about change this year.”
- The Allison Cole-Stutz Leadership Award
- Gina Hawksworth was awarded this honour, having been described by Dr Cole-Stutz as, “A dedicated student and a resourceful and able student leader.”
- Residence Life Member of the Year
- Chelle Alonza won this award for being, “Undyingly positive in her attempt to bring people together. She’s looked for creative ways to work with building management, external partners and others outside of Richmond while always showing care and support for her residents.”
We were delighted to also host our students in person from the Richmond International Academic and Soccer Academy (RIASA), who joined us from their campus in Leeds.
We are hugely proud of our students’ achievements and wish all our award recipients very warm congratulations once again.
