“Bullion: the story of gold as money and how the markets are changing to reflect modern values” – Wednesday November 6th, Kensington campus, Briggs Hall 216 at 3pm
Gold still fascinates people and markets as much as it has always done. The Wellbeing Research Centre is pleased to welcome back Visiting Professor Dr Paul Fisher to the University to talk about gold. Dr Fisher is the current Chair of the London Bullion Market Association and also a previous member of the Monetary Policy Committee at the Bank of England. In this talk Dr Fisher will explore our continuing fascination with gold as a commodity and as a means of exchange. Practical questions such as how much gold there is and how is it traded are also addressed. All welcome.
