Back to school!
Hi everyone!
Things have been quite busy since my last post now that the new term has started. I’m taking Entrepreneurship and Business Development, whilst writing my Senior Project alongside this. For my entrepreneurship class, we planned a brand idea and are being assessed on our business plans. I had two ideas; either face masks that don’t remove your makeup or nail polish that you can use yourself at home, but it doesn’t chip. I continued with the nail varnish idea as this seemed more sustainable and my essay for this is due today. This class has been really stimulating so far and I’ve been reading ‘Creativity, Inc.’ which my teacher recommended. It’s a great business book and really insightful as it was written by the president of Pixar and Disney animation.
Before classes started, I wanted to enjoy the last week of Summer, so I made a list of different things to do. I spent a day in London with my family celebrating my dad’s birthday, we ate at the Hard Rock Café in Piccadilly and walked around the palace gardens. My friend and I met in central and we visited Little Venice, the Alchemist bar and Elan café. On another day, my family came over and we took a trip to the Southend-on-Sea pier…I think we were all craving a bit of a holiday. I’m so excited though that I’ve booked to go to Turkey again at the end of the month! By then, my entrepreneurship class will be finished, and I can work on my dissertation while I’m there.
I went to the Bicester Village designer shopping outlet last week to get some of my birthday presents ready for next month, that was really exciting! We also enjoyed afternoon tea at Cliveden House which was so fancy; I pretty much ate my body weight in cake. I’ve been making plans for my birthday in October but the new rule of six limits the amount of people I can celebrate with. So far, I’ve booked to go to Gaucho with my friends which I’m really looking forward to. Seeing as I’m going to be at home for a while longer, I’ve been redecorating my room. We painted it a pale shade of pink and spent hours in Ikea choosing new furniture. Now I have a perfect place to spend all those hours writing my senior project…
It’s crazy to think this time two years ago I was in Germany watching my dad run the Berlin marathon, and this day a year ago I was at an outdoor cinema in Florida. Here’s a photo from then, I hope you’re all doing well and adjusting to online classes!
Until next time,
