Award-winning Student Affairs team at Richmond
Our fantastic Student Affairs team have done it again!
In recognition of Richmond’s comprehensive Employabililty Plan which offers options for leadership development, the University has been recognized as the Runner Up 2018 for Outstanding Support for the Student Learning Experience by Independent HE.
Allison Cole-Stutz, Vice President for Student Affairs at Richmond, commented, “We’re delighted to have been awarded this prize which recognises the fantastic role that the Richmond Leadership Academy has played in maximising the unique UK/US experience offered at Richmond to students. Through the Academy, we’ve fused together the academic experience of small, tutorial-style seminars with the opportunities for all Richmond students to develop transferable skills, and to build flexibility, adaptability and resilience which will ultimately prepare them for lives of leadership beyond graduation.
“This recognition would not have been possible without the hard work of my incredible Student Affairs team, particularly Jamie Macleod and Dan O’Meara who have really shaped the Richmond Leadership Academy and raised the profile of employability at the University.”
The Awards don’t stop there. Our Student Affairs team are also the 2017 winners of the Independent Higher Education “Best International Student Experience 2017” awards.
The team has also been nominated for an award this year as a finalist in the prestigious 2018 Times Higher Education Awards, in the category of Outstanding Contribution to Leadership Development, with the Awards final being held on Thursday 29 November.
