It’s a goal! RIASA celebrates 10 years of international sports management education
This year is a momentous one for Leeds-based Richmond International Academic & Soccer Academy (RIASA), which is celebrating its 10th year in 2019.
RIASA is an important part of Richmond Business School, providing international student-athletes with the chance to pursue their ambitions in soccer whilst earning a degree accredited in both the UK and US.
As an alternative to the typical US college soccer pathway, RIASA student-athletes get a truly unique experience. Under the watchful eye of our ex-professional, UEFA ‘A’-licensed coaching staff, student-athletes are given everything they need to reach their sporting potential across a nine-month playing season.
In addition, they receive the expert academic tuition of Richmond faculty with the aim of gaining a dual accredited BA International Sports Management degree.
Speaking about #10YearsOfRIASA, RIASA’s Co-Founder and Director, Mark Ellis said:
“Anything worth having usually takes both time and hard work. RIASA staff have worked tirelessly over the last 10 years, going from 23 students to a regular quota of between 80 and 90 high quality student-athletes to create a unique, prestigious and unrivalled academic and soccer programme.”
To celebrate #10YearsOfRIASA, the Academy wants to hear from RIASA Alumni.
