The Wellbeing Research Cluster welcomes Visiting Professor Peter Grant to talk on the topic of: “The impact on wellbeing of gender inequality and machismo culture”

Peter Grant is an economist and senior manager with 30 years of international development experience. He has, since 2010, been the Co-Director of Restored, an international alliance working to end violence against women. He is also a senior fellow with Agulhas Applied Knowledge for whom he undertakes consultancy on areas of economic development. Prior to 2010, he spent five years as International Director of Tearfund and fifteen years with the UK’s Department for International Development including as Director, International with responsibility for the development aspects of the UK’s multilateral partnerships. He has lived and worked for extended periods in Bangladesh and Malawi and has visited over 75 countries worldwide.
