Guidelines on AV Equipment & Services

  1. Equipment can be requested using the IT/AV Helpline Form and is available to faculty and staff only; any student requiring AV equipment must find a faculty or staff member to request and take responsibility for the equipment. All equipment and services are provided on a first come, first served basis. The more advance notice given, the higher probability of the request(s) being satisfied.

  2. Under no circumstances must AV equipment be moved from room to room by faculty or students. Most equipment is fragile, heavy and potentially hazardous. Only AV staff are insured for this work.

  3. If you experience a problem in using the allocated AV equipment, please notify the IT/AV department via the IT/AV Helpline Form as soon as possible. Students should NOT be permitted to tamper with the equipment. Please let the AV staff help you.

  4. The security of AV equipment is partially the responsibility of the user. If your class/presentation finishes sooner than expected and you had booked your AV equipment, please inform the AV staff so that any non-permanent equipment is not left unattended. If your session finishes later than 4.45 pm, please inform Security if there is any non-permanent AV equipment left in the room.

  5. The IT/AV department must be informed of any faults with the AV equipment or AV materials via the IT/AV Helpline Form. If you discover a malfunction, please inform the IT/AV department immediately.
